weepelInternal HR agent
Weepel is our own agentic People platform. It reads the Slack message, the email, the WhatsApp. It resolves the person, checks our policy, executes the whole flow, and comes back only when a decision needs one of us.
Hey, ik ben ziek vandaag en zal een ziektebriefje indienen. Sorry!
Reply from Weepel
Beterschap Sarah! Ik heb je ziekte geregistreerd en Bram verwittigd. Vanaf dag 2 heb je een attest nodig; ik stuur je morgen een reminder. Je hoeft verder niets te doen.
Always on
A Slack message about a lost badge. An email from a team lead. A WhatsApp from someone who's sick. Weepel picks it up wherever it happens, on whichever channel.
Not a chatbot
One message, full execution. Weepel runs the task from start to finish and only comes back when it needs a decision from you, with the numbers and a recommendation.
Learns as it goes
Policies, thresholds and the preferences of every manager live in its memory. Every task makes the next one more relevant; you can edit what it learned.
A week with Weepel
Monday
Jonas WhatsApps “ben ziek vandaag”. Weepel registers the absence, tells Sofie on Slack, and schedules the attestation reminder for day two. Jonas hears back in Dutch. Nobody in People touched it.
Tuesday
Milan starts Monday. Accounts on Google, Slack, Notion, GitHub and 1Password are provisioned, Emma is buddy, the welcome mail is out, the first 1:1 sits in Sofie's calendar and the 30/60/90-day surveys are scheduled.
Wednesday
Matthias asks for 12 days in October. Two teammates are already off that week, which breaks the coverage rule. Weepel registers the request, lists the overlap, and escalates to Jan with a recommendation.
Thursday
Jan wants +5% for Elke. That's inside his mandate, so Weepel drafts the addendum, sends it for signature, and hands the signed change to Daan before the payroll cutoff.
Friday
Anne gets a Slack message: sick days in Engineering are up, two documents are unsigned, and the spring cohort scores higher on day 30. Curated, not a dashboard she has to read.
Works with what we already use
One record per person, kept in sync with payroll, calendar and tools.
Vacation, sick and parental leave with the coverage policy built in.
Salary changes, addenda and the hand-off to Attentia.
Drafted from the request, sent for signature, chased automatically.
30/60/90-day check-ins, quarterly pulse and exit surveys.
Review cycles scheduled, reviewers nudged, ratings next to the record.
Internal tool. In this version Slack, email and WhatsApp are simulated: messages are recorded in Weepel, not delivered.
